Bataround Press Release - Major League Opening Day
Batting Practice Anytime With New Bataround Baseball Hitting Training Device Released to Coincide With Major League Baseball Season Opening Day
Galt, California - April 6, 2006 - Just as Major League Baseball Opening Day on April 2nd brings baseball players and fans to ballparks across the country, a new Baseball hitting training device named Bataround is being released for sale to the public. This innovative new batting practice tool allows ball players of all ages to easily increase their batting average and increase solid contact with the baseball or softball.
Bataround was developed by ex ball player Rick Chambers to help improve his son's batting average to .462 for last season's summer league. The dramatic improvement in batting averages of those testing the device encouraged him to develop the product further, with the help of partner, Larry Kost, a professional metals engineer. The batting trainer has been used by head varsity baseball coach at Sierra Ridge Academy, Frank W. Fleming Jr., producing excellent results for the team.
Coach Fleming said, “The Bataround‚ was a great training tool for our team. The numbers speak for themselves. The season before last we batted in the .250 area as a team. With the addition of the Bataround‚ we went to a .400 team batting average. The numbers seem too good to believe but that the Bataround‚ made the difference. I recommend this to any team that is focused on hitting. It is great asset to our team.”
Bataround can be used the following ways:
• Just before a game for batting warm-up without the need for batting cages.
• Take it with you and use almost anywhere for batting practice.
• Rainy weather - use it in the gym or other shelter with minimal space requirements.
• While the other team is taking infield practice, take live hacks in the outfield.
The Bataround story is a story of the passion of an ex baseball player and the talent and dedication of an engineer. As developer and ex ball player, Rick Chambers, puts it - “I've always thought that my concept for a batting training device was something that both baseball and softball players would find beneficial.” Experience of young players using the hitting training tool has proven that concept on both the team and individual level by increasing batting averages dramatically.
Bataround - the new hitting tool that will revolutionize the training of batting for baseball and softball! It is like having a portable batting cage and pitching machine in the trunk of your car. Bataroundâ combines affordability, durability, portability and skill challenge into one tool.
